The Woodstock Public Library Maker Circle will be taking place Friday afternoon on September 25, 2015 from 2-5 p.m. as part of Culture Days. This is a free event, and will appeal to D.I.Y. (Do It Yourself) Makers of all age groups and interests.
About the Make Circle:
Remember show and tell in school?
Last year our Maker Circle was a great success as we featured 3_D printer, paper makers, guitar makers, textile designers, bracelet makers and artists. Over 100 people attended. This year we hope to continue to build momentum of this family-friendly event by showcasing a wider range of community inventors, creators and DIY experts as part of the Maker movement trend.
It’s an opportunity for people to show what they are making, and share what they are learning.
Woodstock Public Library is seeking help in searching for community Makers ranging from music makers, writers, crafters, eco pioneers, tech programmers, engineers, inventors and garage tinkerers. Your Maker may be of all ages and backgrounds.
The true magic of these events is the opportunity to step out of the day to day routine and make time to engage in meaningful play. It is possible to bring the Maker excitement to Woodstock with your help.
Please use your imagination.
Do you have a creative hobby or project to share? Do you know someone in our community who is a Maker?
